Wow,

Those are all badass. I like the paint job with the stripe down the center. Also Micks is totally sweet! That black binding on red looks killer!

i think the one your are talking about is a neck thru so that stripe is actually the neck, all natural wood grains showing

The mick one would be cool if
a) it didn't have the stupid inlays and
b) if it wasn't mick's

That reverse headstock looks rather silly, along with the inlays and the ponce in the mask

I smell a Gibson lawsuit: http://hvguitar2.sinten.com/photo/123/32.jpg Hell, if they tried to sue PRS, they sure as fuck are going to tackle Ibanez for this.

The body of Mick's guitar is ok, but I'd pay 2000$+ just to get a custom just to not get the gay ass inlays.

Mick Thomson's guitar would look pretty sweet, if it wasn't for that horrendous inlay.

your nose must be broken, that looks nothing like a lp! the only resemblence is the single cut away. most accoustics look more like a lp than that. if anything, gibson would sue esp/ltd. their eclipses looks the same as lp's with the exception of the headstock and a slightly pointier horn.

gibson were saying that the prs singlecut would be confused for a les paul or vice versa in a "smokey bar or gig" and as a result, prs single cuts should stop being produced as they were losing customers. the court said that was the shittest arguement they had heard, and that any idiot could tell the difference. the prs single cut looks more like a les paul than that ibanez and thats saying something as the prs single cut looks completely different to a les paul!

The Mick one is pretty nice, would be better if the headstock was "the right way" round

Paul Gilbert's guitars are sweet as usual!

Nothing really new from Ibanez, i was really hoping for a production 8-string. I like the Ibanez reverse headstock although i wish it wasnt just on signature models. The Slipknot dude sig is cool except the fact it has his name on the fretboard, I hate that when sig models put their name on the fretboard! It doesnt matter how cool the guitar is, it would just bother me too much to look at some dudes name everytime i would play it. And no new 7-strings.

the ibanez headstock doesn't really look that cool...jackson and probably a few other headstocks can look fucking badass in reverse...but ibanez is almost symmetrical on both sides so it is almost pointless....if it had more of an angle i'm sure i'd be fucking killer...

its like everyone in the band has a number from 0 to 8
and mick is 7
before he use to have the word "hate" on his bc rich inlay

The mick guitar isn't that bad. I don't have problems with the inlay. I have more problems with the reversed headstock. If you're gonna reverse a headstock that pick a normal headstock. i mean ibanez headstock's go like this -- so if you reverse it it just looks weird. Jackson headstock's for example go like \ this if you know what i mean. if you reverse it you get /. Looks much better imo

I wouldn't mind having that Mick 7 signature. Seven only reminds of Necrophagist! And about those semi-lp things theyve had semi-gibson stuff for a few years now without getting sued.

ok, the ibanez website has been updated to accomodate the namm models

check out a larger picture of micks guitar:

HAWT!

looks like they switched the 81 and 60 around, the 81 should be at the bridge while the 60 should be at the neck

heres the specifications and descriptions of it, it comes tuned to drop b as standard, sweet eh?

Quote:

* Blood Red
* Wizard II (neck-thru)
* 5pc. Maple/ Walnut Neck Material
* Mahogany Body
* 24/Jumbo frets
* Bound Rosewood Finger Board
* Fixed Edge bridge
* EMG 60 (H) Neck PU
* EMG 81 (H) Bridge PU
* MTM1 Special Inlay
* BK : Hardware Color

Description:

Mahogany Body:
Mahogany provides rich warm lows and sweet sustain

24/Jumbo frets:
Jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording

Hardware Color:
BLACK

Tone, features and playability make the MTM1 as awe-inspiring (and dangerous looking) an instrument as the artist who designed it. This is a guitar made for heavy rock and metal.
Mick Thomson's choice of U.S.A.-made original EMG pickups.
5pc thru-neck and mahogany body pump out full, fat tone with strong sustain.
Equipped with heavier gauge strings than standard RG's.
Edge FX double-locking fixed-bridge.
Factory tuned to Mick's preference of C# tuning, with a dropped B: B, F#, B, E, G#, C# (low to high).

"The combination of mahogany, maple and rosewood with a massive fixed-bridge and EMG pickups make this guitar sound absolutely huge." - Mick Thomson

yeah its good on specifications but i think it is a bit too bright for my taste.

Im really surprised that after all these years that Ibanez never gave Dino Cazares his own signature guitar. He has been using Ibanez & has many customs from them for like 10 years. And im pretty sure he has also been under contract with them for that time.

Christian has a custom signature Jackson, Which he does not deserve at all! He got the deal somehow before the 1st album he ever played a guitar on was even released. That just doesnt make sense to me when Dino is one of the most respected metal guitarists.
