Clean tones...
I have a Marshall 8100 (valvestate, 100 watt) halfstack. I love the distortions to death, but I HAVE to have a good clean tone too... The 8100's clean channel sucks; it is very dry and boreing and makes me ashamed to switch channels. I normally dont use any effects, but I think I might have to with this amp. What effects should I use just to make my clean tones interesting? Also, I really would like a unique tone, but I dont know alot about mods..

Add some reverb or chorus maybe.

some verb/delay/chorus can spice it up a bit. On general EQing i cant help you, my ENGL's cleans are pretty much plug 'n play for me >_> especially on strats. Single Coils rock the house for cleans/blues

You're damn right. I dont dare switch to clean unless i am playing a guitar with a single coil.
I love my strat...

Some reverb and delay effects makes my clean amp channel sound really professional. But I dislike using chorus. It makes the guitar sound out of tune (that is what chorus does anyway ).
