Mixer/Multitrack Question

OK, I have several recording questions.

1) Will a firewire mixer allow me to bounce each input to its own track on the computer? ie:

Mixer Input I (bass drum) ---------> Track 1 on PC
Mixer Input II(snare drum) --------> Track 2 on PC
Mixer Input III & IV (Toms) -------> Track 3 on PC
Mixer Input V (Overhead Mics) ---> Track 4 on PC

2) If not, what type of hardware do I need in order to do this? And how expensive would it be.

3) Can a USB mixer do what I mentioned above?

I have in mind the Alesis Mixers that I have looked at so far. They look like they can do this but I just wanted to check.

The reason I ask is because if each section of the drumset was set to a different track that would make adjustments easier. If this is possible for a practical amount of money, then I guess just checking all the settings before recording will have to suffice.

Thanks

yes it can.

usb struggles with it pretty badly. people say usb 2.0 can handle multi track recordings but it doesnt if youre somewhat serious about getting a good recording.
