A Queda Longa

The sound as he split the air
Echoed through the branches of his family tree
The trip wire upon his arm set off
He spilt from the digits to the paper sorrows of the crow
Soon his kiss would line the soil
A statistic in a world sorrowed to the brim

Playing God with his own hands
He lied about every mountain he conqoured
His beauty lay in tatters when he was alone
The radio played the shrew with his shores

"Oh Father I don't know where I'm heading for"
"Mother don't cry I know what I was wanted for"
"Sister don't turn your lips to the ground
I was a wanted man to the hounds"

Keep the door open for the spector
His haunt is that of the traffic highway
His staunch the red line that highlights the building
In the air can you taste his reverie?

Playing God with his own hands
He lied about every mountain he conqoured
His beauty lay in tatters when he was alone
The radio played the shrew with his shores

Have you ever wondered what lined his cloud?
Silver linnings now turned gold
Have you ever wondered what lined his cloud?
Silver linning now burns with a soiled glow

And in the end
The people all watched him sleep
Breathing the air that the parents weeped
Penguins would stand and watch
As he would stare at the cathedral ceiling

Kiss your scars tonight
Pray that you're never that alone

Can I ask what the title means? I keep thinking Al Queda so please, clarify. The clicked when I read penguins, but I don't know if I read this before or that reference was used somewhere else.
I liked that you started off with action. That drew me into it. It was an interesting read. I like the descriptive imagery you give your pieces.
Did you do any musc for this one? I'm feeling it could be folksy or more melodic rock.

Al Qaeda, not queda. 'A queda longa' would be Spanish, except that I don't believe 'longa' is a word in Spanish. It means something like 'too big,' if we replace 'longa' by something like 'larga' or 'grande.' Seems more or less appropriate. Unless something else was intended.

A Queda Longa is portugese, roughly, for "The Long Fall"
