Looking for bands that sound like...
OK, here's basically what I'm looking for. I am looking for bands that are really heavy in a synth type of sound. Basically a sound similar to what Bodom's Follow The Reaper and Hatecrew Deathroll albums sounded like. I've tried doom bands but most of them are too slow and not really "heavy" enough for what I am looking for. Sorry for this being yet another post but I have deleted my other one.
Thank you
[EDIT] The reason I am asking is because my band members and I want to listen to some stuff similar to FTR but that isn't by bodom. Or even if you could post some songs or stuff that is similar that would be great.

Nocturnus is a perfect example, they are one of the first DM bands to incorperate keyboards heavily in their sound, and in my opinion the best one to do so. Get stuff off of their album "The Key".

Kalmah and Norther don't really have that b-side sound to them though like Follow The Reaper did. Its hard to describe that album, if I could describe it better it may help me find other albums with that atmosphere. The realier bodom albums were more neoclassical oriented, which is easier to find but Follow The Reaper combines those nice little b-side atmospherical melodies and stuff with power metal and neoclassical stuff, so yea. Thanks

What were you expecting out of doom? I haven't heard a single doom song that sounded like CoB, or vice versa. Though I also haven't heard a CoB song I'd actually call heavier than virtually any doom band.
As for the real question, I can't help you.

Not really doom but somewhat influenced atmostphere wise. Ever hear Everytime I Die? that song has some twinges of doom atmoshpere throughout the song.

The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.

Thanks to all for posting so far. I just need to find torrent site that has these bands since Limewire doesn't. I guess I'm not looking for an exact copy, just some new things to listen to.
