Need Help with creating good leads

Hey guys, I've been playing guitar for about four years. I am pretty good at writing riffs and making good music but my leads are lacking. any tips? Black Metal/Death/Speed/Thrash influences

Learn your modes, definatley learn those if you havent yet. Also do you know anything about keys, etc? kind of give me a clue as to what you know.
