-Everything Judas Priest Thread-
I figured that these guys deserved their own thread seeing as they've been around longer than any metal band in history. Even though Halford left the band in the 90's, they're still doing what they do best. They were formed in 1969 and released "rocka rolla" in 1974 as their debut album.

i actually only like a few priest songs. stuff from screaming... and then desert plains and night comes down. good "end of the night " music

Priest haven't been around the longest.......Sabbath anyone? And I even think the Scorpions were formed at the end of the 60's 
Oh and the album was called 'Ram it Down' not 'Ram it in' you smut obsessed deviant Strange how you didn't pick up on 'Hell bent for Leather' or 'Leather Rebel'???

Ah yes, you are correct and I knew this. I just didn't type it... nevertheless.
I've never heard of those Leather albums/songs, so it's not very strange.
In my little world, the greatest thing Judas Priest have ever done is Dickless Tracy's (SLO) Čefur version of 'Breaking the Law'. |

Priest are pretty popular, they don't really need a thread here. Oh yeah, they do kick large amounts of ass, though.

And while Sabbath may have been around longer, it is no longer even worthy of sharing a stage with Priest. It pains me to say that, but it's true. I recently saw a Sabbath preformance on TV and was heartbroken to see that Ozzy can't fucking sing and Iommi can't play in time. He was so off beat it's not even funny. They were playing Paranoid and Iommi was unable to keep up with the beat.
Meanwhile, I just purchased the Judas Priest Rising in the East (or something like that), DVD, and man, they kick ass. Granted, Halford's singing ain't what it used to be, but he's nowhere nearly as bad as Ozzy. The band was awesome, on beat, in time, with Tipton and KK trading solos left and right, it was beautiful. I recommend checking out the song Diamonds and Rust, (or something along those lines), it's pretty kickass. By no means is it brutal, but I still fucking love it. And who can forget how funny Halford looks nowadays. That motherfucker has got to be the most ridiculous looking sumbitch I've ever seen, but man, he's got an awesome voice.
In conclusion, Judas Priest>All of youse. Cunts.

Reading this thread, I realized how close-minded some metalheads can be. If you don't like Priest, you don't have to start saying how much they suck and anything like that. I don't like them too much either (just a few songs) but still, you have to take into account that they do desserve our respect for all they've done. They were some of the first bands to go in the metal scene.
What if you only listen to dunno-what-death/gore bands? That does not mean it's the only good music. (no, I don't like death metal either:P)
