Avantasia appreciation thread

I think Tobias Sammet got it right on their newest album, the metal opera. Both as a concept album and individual songs, it is a delight to listen to.
Tobias is also in Edguy, a band similar in sound to Avantasia.
Heres a song sample from their website for those who have not yet discovered Avantasia.

I have both part I and II and I must admit that both of them sound just great - seems like the idea of Power Metal with opera elements worked out great

There isn't much opera.

It is an awesome power metal side project. Standing alongside many legit power metal acts, however, I think it pales.

Here are some Edguy videos. Lavatory Love Machine is a hilarious song, and my friends and I sang it to bring in the new year.

The only problem - the ONLY- of Avantasia is haveing David Defies on vocals at their songs...I mean - I dont get it - is he trying to grol when he sings because it sounds like someone stoop on his balls and and on his throat when he sings
