I had been trying to find someone to install a gold floyd that was given to me a while back into my Jackson RR. All the people I called just said they did not install them in guitars anymore. One guy I called said he would'nt put one in an RR cuz there isn't enough wood. I was gonna tell him about Kai Hansen,Alexi Laiho, and Kirk Hammet all having RR's with FR's, but did'nt. So I finally found someone pretty far away who would do it, I had to leave a voice mail for him. He is busy for the next two weeks. So I guess my question(s) is(Are) :
Is there enough woods on RR's?
How much do you think this procedure will cost?
and will it be worth it?

1. of course theres enough wood, you said it your self, there are other artists with floyd rr's.
2. prices vary, you have to consider its just not routing and installing, the guy has to set it up and everything, so the price may vary depending on what he does.
3. is it worth it? well will you use it? if so, yea its worth it, but if your someone like me who uses it alot as soon as they get it, but then never uses it again, then its not worth it.

if your mainly a rythm guy whos never had a trem before, dont do it

What type of Floyd is it? There is a chance the guitar might need to be routed in order to accomodate that tremolo.
