well, what are you looking for? A variaty of great distortions and cleans, or does the focus need to lie more to the FX?

imo the boss gt stuff is WAY better then the digitech floor units.

first, i'd ook into line 6 pod's, the new pod xt live(floor unit) is awesome. that and the gt 8 are pretty much my favorite floor multi fx units...

GT-8 was the best for me. Top quality, tons of features, and awsome sound for being digital. I tried everything before deciding on the GT-8.

The only draw back is you need to be able to read otherwise you will never figure out how to use it correctly. It takes time to learn how to use it effectively.

Kinda venturing away from the topic but,

Does anyone own a Digitech GNX 200 or higher, the ones with the built-in JamMan looper/recorder. I'm considering buying one of those. Is the looper decent?

Yeah, but it kind of looks like he is after floor-based multi-effects,with distortions.

I must say I love my gt-8. The dual amp modelling sold me on it. you can get some really cool tones that way. And they have some really cool effects if thats what you're buying it for.

God forbid having to put some effort into something for once.

I mean everyone else not buying it for that reason.

I've got this one. It's really good, but when my Savage 120 arrives next week I'll see what it really goes for.

All the reviews of people that didn't like it complained the most about complicated and not user friendly. Most of those people didn't want to take the time to learn how to use it and the tone they got from it suffered. It's not a pedal with a few parameters. It took me time to learn how to tweek it, and yes it took effort, but some people just don't like complicated equipment. It turned out to do more then I thought it could but was also also more difficult to get the settings just right. I love it though.

That does seem to be the biggest reason people don't buy it from what I seen. That and the price.
