Digitech rp-100

I just got one of these at a pawn shop for 50$. So far it seems to be working fine, I know how to do pretty much everything (even though it didn't have a booklet.) Except I have one problem, I wanted to make a divebomb sounding effect by setting the pedal on whammy, then making it sound as if the bar is depressed (number 7, I think it is). Then on the next effect I set the whammy to raise the pitch(so its like pulling up on the bar) So I get it sounding the way I want and then I press "STORE", but it just changes the sound back to the pre-set. It doesn't do that with any other effect just the whammy. Can anyone help?

I own a RP200. I'm sure the interface is similar.

Whammy is an effect that uses an Expression Pedal to bend the pitch of the
incoming signal, or add a bendable harmony with the original signal. As the Pedal
is moved, the note will bend either up or down.
Amount - The Parameter 1 knob selects the interval and direction of the pitch bend.
Level - The Parameter 2 knob adjusts the volume of the Whammy. Ranges from 0 to 99.
Whammy (no Dry Signal)
1 (1 octave above)
2 (2 octaves above)
3 (a 2nd below)
4 (a 2nd below reversed pedal action)
5 (a 4th below)
6 (1 octave below)
7 (2 octaves below)
8 (6 octaves below)

Good Luck!

Thanks that helps...kinda. The rp-100 doesn't have a foot pedal on it. but maybe I can buy one and put it in the CONTROL IN thing at the top. If they even sell those.

Personally I would've searched for an RP7. None of the newer RPs can hold my RP7. And usually, whammy is a wave effect (or at least on mine), and a divebomb would be under "bend." Like someone said, there are different levels of a bend that you can set it to.
