Bridge pup in the neck position?

edit:

I was wondering if there were any drawbacks to putting a bridge pickup in the neck position. I want to pair my bridge X2N with an Invader in the neck, but I read that the neck-designed invader has a lower output than a bridge-designed invader.

There is only one X2N.Pickups are designed for different applications. Why dont you just get a higher output neck pickup, instead of the invader.By putting a bridge p/u in the neck,is not what they were primarily designed for,so it in most cases doesnt sound as good.

i think the neck version of most pickup has slightly lower output, so the guitar character comes more into place, im not sure though.
