Scarface is like GTA in the real world/time situation with the massive mapscape. It doesn't give you as much freedom as the GTA series (i.e. you can't kill innocent people), but the scenes, and plot of the game go hand and hand with the movie. The game takes off where the movie ended (yes... scarface is ALIVE!). He says some crazy shit too! The fucking pigs in this game are hard as fuck too. They don't take much shit at all. It's definitely worth a play for sure. I'm a huge scarface fan though, so I'm totally into it.

I like the conceit that some systems are a waste of money and some aren't. They all are, and the only thing that redeems them at all is that you can get some facile enjoyment out of them. And whichever system will give you your facile enjoyment is the one you need to get. Simple.

I've owned a shitload of "non-FF" rpg's, most of them I can't remember the names too though(after i beat them I sold them for drugs). Fable wasn't that great, KOTOR and Jade Empire pwned it.

I am one of the biggest rpg fans i know. The final fantasy series in my opinion is anything BUT a hype. Although FF9 was eh.. and contrast to popular believe 7 isn't THAT good. That game is WAY over hyped. But it didn't pave the way for some solid games. But anyways.

Suikoden series is also really damn good. I still haven't played past 2 though ahha. I really enjoyed the first one.

Dragon Quest 8 i think is an over hyped rpg. Its fun and good at times, but its REDICULOUSLY too hard and time consuming. I can't fucking believe how much time you have to fighting enemies to get from point a to b, to level up, and most importantly tog et money. You get the same amount of money like half the game from exponentionally harder fights yet things get SO MUCH MORE expensive, which means its just that much harder to fight shit because you have way way way outdated equipment.

And i played grandia 2 all the way through. It was a pretty fun game, but i can honestly say i'll never.... EVER play it again. Its the most linear rpg i've ever played in my life. Its probably more linear than Mario 1 for nintendo. At least in that game you could warp to different levels. But it had its good things to it. From what i heard the entire grandia series is the same game reshashed, but i can't vouche for that.

Yeah me too. Snes rpgs are definately by far my favorite. I can't say that newer ones aren't good because that would be a damn lie. But i definately do REALLY like FF3/6, secret of mana, and definately chrono trigger. There are some other good ones, although you need an emulator or you need a pal snes such as Terranigma. That was a good game. Was pretty damn long at that.

There's no way in hell it's coming out on the original xbox. By the time it comes out (I'm guessing early 2008) the xbox will be a dead system, and flagship titles only come out on flagship consoles.

i have a shitload of nes and snes roms...some sega genesis ones too. its better to use a controller with anything past nes though...kind of annoying using the keyboard with more than two buttons...

I'm pretty solid at almost any video game... but some nintendo games.. gdamn thank god for save states. Then again thats one of the reasons that nintendo games are so hard other than the game play. Almost no saving, and if there was it was like passcode shit. Also alot of times games had either limited lives or continues.. or both which made some games damn near impossible. Luckily ninja gaiden only had limited lives but unlimited continues. But if you had dto continue like far into an area like the 4th stage of an area.. its back to #1 which really sucks.

Exactly my fucking point. Also TNMT 2 is pretty god damn hard too. I got to krang and could NEVER beat him, not even today with save states. There is only a handful of nintendo games i've ever beaten. I've beaten all the megamans, but that took years, and i finally beat mario 1 this year with save state usage.

I've never ever beaten mario 2. (i've seen the end though cause i saw somebody else beat it.) I've beaten Mario 3, but i haven't been able to come close to beating it since. I've beaten both ninja gaiden 1 and 2 with the HEAVY use of save states, without it they're impossible.
