I was just playing Dragon Quest VIII for over 3 hours straight..has anyone played this damned game yet?
I'm 41 hours into it, it's great so far.

i loved fable but it fucking annoyed me that it was completely unfinished. there's so much unexplained stuff, i heard some people looked into the coding of the game and saw refernaces to battles with a dragon and a ship...well i didnt fight a fucking dragon!
wait for gothic 3, it looks amazing.

I think the unfinshed code had something to do with Microsoft imposing harsh time restrictions on Lionhead studios, whom actually coded the game.

Yeah I read a review for that game today. It said theres just a few story changes but it leads to the same thing as the original. Doesn't seem worth buying for me. I'll just keep playing Fable untill a new one comes out.

ive been playing half-life 2, the game is intense, there have been so many moments where i find myself clenching my teeth and getting so into the moment that people walk into my room, talk to me, and i dont realize they are there until they are right next to me. its amazing.

You've heard of him? Crazy...well its hard to tell, I lived in a community called Cole Harbour from when I was born until I was 7...but even at that time he actually did play hockey pretty well, and he would have been six at the time..actually one time I went to his town house..his dad had a lot of hockey memorbilia(Montreal Canadians)..and we played "Stanley Cup" for SNES if I'm not mistaken.
EDIT - I lived at the top of a court..he always used to being his net up!

i havent followed hockey for almost 2-3 years, although i love the sport, i used to want to be a goalie.
speaking of hockey, i used to play NHL 96 on the SNES, make my own dream team of created players and players like gretzky and lindross, and play through the season, winning every game.

Got NFS: Most Wanted a couple of days ago, and it's pretty addictive. They made a great decision by re-introducing pursuits, the NFS series has always been about running from cops.

Lol beating Razor is nothing.. completing all 68 challenges is a pain in the ass.. especially #60 where you have to make a "5 Heat" pursuit last 15 minutes  (I'm stuck at #62 right now..)

Yeah, I'm a gamefreak So I bought this alienware computer a couple of years ago and kept upgrading it. I now have a 3.45 ghz pentium extreme processer. 3 gigs of ram and a 256 mb ati x 1800xt videocard. My games run pretty fast at high settings.

Wow. I'm only a PC game freak when I've got a good computer, and since my current one's 3 years old, I'm sticking to console gaming.

ram memory is pretty cheap so the 3 gigs cost me about 300 euro. The processer 400 ish. and the videocard 550 euro's and then some more on random crap. Monitor, speakersystem, neon lights, watercooling, hard drives, fans etc. So a total of about 2500 ish over the past 5 years.

you don't notice the difference when you just use internet or watch a movie between 3 gigs and let's say 1 gig.But when there's a lot going on in the game on your screen the more ram the better

I used to run a dual PIII with a gig of ram, but one of the processors died on me after a while, so i've just got a basic P4 2.3 or something with 512- i don't do much gaming at all these days though.

How is it supposed to be fast access tempory storage when there is 3 gig of it. It somewhat defies the point of ram when the computer has to search the ram to find what it is looking for.

If you've got a really shitty computer, your best bet would be to buy a 360. I'm getting one when Oblivion comes out, since my PC can only handle around 25% of the graphics required by new games. |

my comp should be able to run oblivion, all i need is a new graphics card. but i was playing project gotham 3 the other day in HMV and holy shit, its the best driving game ive ever played, the in car graphics brought tears to my eyes it was so smooth...

I personally don't see a point in do-it-all handheld devices, especially ones which could be used as an effective murder weapon.
Yeah, I'll be getting a 360 when Oblivion comes out. The graphics for the current games don't impress me at all, nothing "mind blowing", but the games do appeal to me.
I'll most likely get a Revolution when it comes out as well, looks like a pretty nifty console.

right now i'm waiting for the PS3. might only hit Europe in 2007 but i can wait.
my limited experience with the 360 was not good at all. games feel rushed, like higher-res version of what you can find on the Xbox.
the new MS handheld looks like a brick house. way too big.
played a little PSP and DS. nothing that good either on those two.
