Does any one here play Age of Empires II online? I would like to but I just can't seem to figure out how to get online. I have GameSpyArcade which I believe you need to play. Can some one help me?
EDIT: I got it to work and my GameSpyArcade tag is SombreDoom.

A further note about Fallout 3 that i read.
I read that it will be first person, third person over the shoulder AND isometric. Thank fucking god. They are saying they are going to encourage 1st person view but you're not going to get me to play the game first person. Fuck that bullshit. For me its isometric all the way.
I still have a good bit of trust that they'll do the right things with the game. I watched the video out there with the lead producer. And he said his favorite thing about Fallout was just the pure style that it is. Thats an understatement from hell. Thats just really what is all about Fallout. It has this... .just.. smooth set style.

Watching some demos for the new game Skate. I'm iffy about the fact that the gravity blows in the game. It runs on a set velocity of falling vice the real world which is an acceleration.
But other than that its pretty sick. I saw a clip of the character doing a 180 to a tweaked out backside 5-0 and tried to 180 back out of it coming down off a handrail, he landed like i dunno 20 degrees short and the character was doing all sorts of stuff to attempt to maintain balance. Looked fairly convincing, although there is obviously alot of give that the game gives you vice how it is in the real world.
But i'll have to pick up a ps3 or an xbox360 to play it... sadly. I'm thinking about selling my wii and getting a ps3. Although i dont' really want a ps3 but in order to get games that i want or eventually will want, i'll have to move on.

Yes the screen shots look fucking fantastic! Looks like it's going to be way more in depth than Fable. There is a giant castle in one of the screen shots and it would be very cool if you can explore it in the game. Fable is mostly outside stuff and when you do go inside somewhere it's seems very plain. Still is a very good game though.
And yeah I noticed him knocking on the wall, haha. Good shit

Sucks that most MMOs have monthly fees. But what doesn't suck are free MMOPGs that have a huge community and very fun game play.
Don't think you can play it on a Mac though. You're not supposed to be allowed to play it on Vista but my friend knows how to. Same should apply for Mac. Just ask around in some Mac forums. |

Lair for PS3 fucking rules, do not listen to the reviews. It has a slight learning curve as the sixaxas motion-controls are all thats available, but it shouldn't deter you at all.

I just finished the campaign. It fucking ruled, definetly the best campaign of all the Halos. Now I just have to get my xbox gold membership renewed and I'm set.
I disagree Requiem, I think it's Halo 3>Halo>Halo 2. I just didn't like Halo 2 because of the claustrophobic levels, as opposed to the wide-open ones of the first. H3 does a good job of mixing it up. Of course I am a little biased considering I've had H3 all of 12 hours.

Halo 2 is very fun online. Unlike in Halo 3, Halo 2 and Halo both have button combinations. Such as: BxR, BxB, LBL.
Takes way more skill. And what is that drivable building in Halo 3? |

Just looked up Front Mission, looks good. There is an ever growing list of reasons why I need to buy a DS.
I picked up 'The Orange Box' (Half-life 2, Portal, Team Fortress) yesterday and I can tell I'll be busy with this one for a while. I can't believe I never bothered to play HL2 before, considering I'm addicted to first person shooters. What an awesome game!

Button combinations are a lame way to manipulate the engine. Detracts from skill and replay value of the game HORRIBLY. It's almost as bad as hackers.
The big drivable building is the Elephant....and it kicks ass...just like the rest of the game.

The Orange Box is mad fun, I would get it but I don't have the money for a new controller.
Getting a DS is mandatory now. So many great games coming out in the next few months, quite a few SRPGs.
philkilla: People play online games for a few reasons and being the best is one of them, button combinations separate the skilled from the unskilled players except in a few instances: 4 shots, skilled sniper, noob combo, and people that play safe. H3 is decent, nothing compared to H1 though.

So I picked up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night after something like 6-7 years. Man, what a classic! I was inspired because they released it in its original format for Xbox 360 and after watching me friend who got it I dug through some boxes and found it. We're racing to see who can get 200.6% first. Any fans?

Yes, Assassin's Creed is almost perfect. The fighting system is the best I've played since Ninja Gaiden.
I'm addicted to Call of Duty 4 at the moment.

just got call of duty 4 the other day. for pc, not console...don't see a pc game thread, and seems pointless to have two threads.
the game kicks ass, just ended to fast. beat it in 2 days...on regular. guess i can try it again on hard or whatever the two next settings are..haven't played online yet.

The multiplayer is where its at for COD4. I have for the 360, and it's a blast.
The campaign is a bit short, but try it on veteran...haha. I'm almost to the end (finally)

Mass Effect isn't a FPS. It's third person action/rpg (camera view is like Resident Evil 4 or Gears of War.).
I love FPS more than anyone I know, but they are over-saturated these days. |
