Just Said No
Acapella because of the song content
"Just Said No"
Frozen where I stood
Thoughts too scrambled to speak
No real good excuse just politely refuse
Change the subject
Change the scenery
Let me leave now
Second thoughts about first dreams
Putting behind what never came ahead
Close it up and just let it go
Always the struggle
Always out of time
Let me leave now
(Cho.)
Please, don't look too close
You might see the real reason
Don't study my face you might see
The trace of something that's leaving me
(break)
It hurts to realize there's no use in trying
There's no sense in wasting the time
No matter what's always around me
Nothing ever changes, it's always the same
(Cho.)
Please, don't look too close
You might see the real reason
Don't study my face you might see
The trace of something that's leaving me

Yeah, I'm thinking very seriously about it. There's one line since I've reread that I'm not happy with --Putting behind what never came ahead. Would a comma after "came" work or is there another way I can say that? I can't think of a way to do it myself.
Thanks for the comment.

very good work indeed..
I'm not saying that to be nice of freindly in any way.
When I read a lyric/poem that I can fit into Psychological or Physical patterns/happenings in my life, it automatically makes the piece of work more interesting for me.

I appreciate the honesty. It was from my heart unfortuneately, but part of the burden got lifted so that was good. I'm gonna give it another shot if I can.
