Guitar necks with no inlays?
I was wondering if there were any guitars that come stock with no inlays. I'm trying to avoid going through a custom shop in order to get one. Thanks!

Carvin guitars. You can order one from them with no inlays for pretty cheap even though they are kinda like a custom shop. They are nice guitars.
I'm pretty sure Ibanez have some stock guitars without inlays too.

necks without inlays look pretty cool. I mean, you don't need the inlays you still have the dots on the side of your neck. it gives a certain style

I almost had my Ran have no inlays, but my dad convinced me otherwise. It depends on what you like.
But i imagine Ibanez, BC Rich, and i think some ESPs have that.

I'd rather have no inlays than have dot inlays, so it depends... My warlock has no inlays, and my Rhoads has reverse sharkfin inlays so if you can find a guitar with cool inlays buy it...

The Jackson Christian Olde Wolbers has no inlays. It's available in a six or a seven string as well. Just ask the guys over at drumcityguitarland.com for a price on it.

I would like the all black appearance of a Ebony board with no inlays, but I use the inlays a hell of a lot to locate where I am, particularly when soloing.
You might also want to consider offset or micro dots.
A friend of mine is learning his trade as a luthier, and he did this killer inlay on the neck of his Jackson, and it's bascially a load of skulls but it looks killer, and there is so much stuff on the fretboard, it's really confusing as to where you are. the exact opposite of my problem... I guess you'd get used to what parts of the design were on which frets.

I have to say I have never seen a guitar shoping section called "inlayless guitars" so this is actually a helping thread. I was stumped at first but it is a good question if you are looking for help to a few shortcuts. Thats what we are here for. To help each other out.

I'd just steal it from, and then I would kidnap him and make him teach me sweep arpeggios..... And you can probably buy that shape from that company without that logo, but the blood on the headstock is cool...

I just had a look at the site wondering what blood you were talking about, because I didn't remember any blood, and I saw the black model with blood the headstock. Is that just a one off too? I see it's signed by Karl... well I assume it's Karl, and it said it was being given away by some Magazine.
