Double kick problem
Hey, my brothers double kicks have been being gay for quite sometime and id figure id ask around here to get some advice
anyways he has a pair of Dixon double kicks, pretty low end id assume, they havent really been working correctly i think, im not really sure whats wrong but it seems that it is impossible to play fast on them (part of this is a technique problem i know) but mostly i beleive the kicks are messed up
is there any way i can sevice them/repair them to maximum usage potential?
thanx

They are Dixon Double kicks, they are NEVER going to work correctly, and you probably can't play fast on them because they SUCK!
but here are a few thigns to try, check your spring tension, if it is really loose, try cranking it up a bit to get some more rebound in the pedal (good for playing fast) check that all components are nice and oiled, nor excessive rubbing, and that bits are freely rotating etc. then report back, but seriously Dixon is like the shittest of the shit!
