esp mh-400 any good?

hi im thinking about getting this guitar. just wondering who, if any, has this guitar and how it sounds. the reviews are good, but im wondering what you metal heads think about it...

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...ase_pid/516684/

im into power metal and neo-classical and stuff like maiden, priest, and megadeth.. i do not like death metal. i want to get into lead playing. so gimme your opinion or suggestions on guitars.. (same price range and specs)

thanks

the only thing that u might want to replace is the bridge. everything else about that would be pretty good. mohogany good bass, and sustain on notes. the quilt top should give it good style. im not a big fan of XJ frets, but i guess it might help on the upper frets, comes with EMG 81's. those pickups are great, so u dont need to switch them out. i like how the blue quilt looks.
i say go for it, it looks like its gonna sound like a monster as well looks like one.
also a great bassy distortion thanks to mohogany. the only bad thing is it might be a little heavy.

That's a badass axe there. I was wanting a ESP MH model before I scored my Ibanez. That one is pretty spec'ed out. Love the quilted top and EMG's. Let us know how it plays.

If you are serching for quality and more modern sound ESP or Jackson should be one of your first choices.

My friend got ESP MH-400 and wasting it for stuff like blues when he can play kick ass metal on it

The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
