A BC Rich NJ series Ironbird. I believe that the neck actually belonged to a Warlock NJ because I've never seen those headstocks on NJ Ironbirds(or any Ironbirds for that matter). Cost me 129$! Plus 12$ shipping, but I actually got Fedex 2-day by pimping the lady at InstrumentExchange. Just needs the locking nuts and whammy bar and a good setup. I sanded the neck down like a motherfucker, so the pic you're seeing is significantly thinner than what it originally was(bulky). Plays very very nicely, and though the neck isn't as slim as my Jackson JS30 Kelly, it fits my hand perfectly and is super nice to play. Needs to have the straplocks replaced for better balance but it's wonderful to play sitting down.

My 2nd guitar, and I'm quite happy with it.

Congrats dude!

Though I can't get over how ugly I find the Ironbird to be.

Sure I'll post it later tonight. The headstock is the only thing that made this axe cheesy... Maybe I'll get the neck replaced someday in the future, but before that I'll probably upgrade the bridge and pickups.

Hmm maybe I'll trade it for someone with a Warlock NJ with the pointed headstock. Off to find that person.

Setting the Floyd up was a cinch! I really have no idea how it's as hard as everyone makes it out to be. I did it without any guides in front of me, just only the knowledge I've picked up from reading FAQ's on google and threads on this forum. Stays in tune perfectly!

The only slight problem is that it appears there's like 5% more spring tension than needed, so the bridge sinks in a tiny little bit, but it's alright. Tuned to D with 4 springs set up like this:

-----------------------
-----------------------

-----------------------
-----------------------

Probably cuz it needs slightly higher guage strings. But it's ok, cause I'm gentle with the whammy and there's no massive tension anywhere, everything's perfect.

I didn't sand the neck THAT much, to the point where it'll warp. At most I took 0.1 cm, I really don't feel it being less bulky but it feels a billion times better than when I got it.

I sanded with fine paper a teeny bit today on my Jackson so it's no longer plasticky from all that oil that has build up on the neck. An insignificant amount but now it's much smoother, and I was careful enough to not scratch anything else.

Ignore the teeny bit of paper underneath the 6th tuning screw, I did that cuz I coudln't remove the locking nut(in fact I still can't), but I managed to budge it a little to retune that string a little bit more from the tuning peg(worked fine, then I bolted the nut back down). So that teeny bit of paper is no longer there, as I no longer need it to have more space to screw the tuning screw down. Everything's in perfect order except for the locking nuts that won't budge but when time comes for a string change I'll grab some WD40 and grease that fucker up.

Anyways it plays great, lower action than on my Jackson, has higher output pickups, the only drawback is the bigger neck but it's fine with me, I get no cramps or nothing. Great guitar.
