Rivers of Blood

A posy sits upon my window sill
The only queenly object around
Brisk and tall with pedals held high
Alone, away from my world, it sits

Every morning I wake up to see it
It never moves, always constant
Yet in my brain, something hurts
The color of red promotes hate

Its image
Is pain
Is hate
Controls me

A candle of fire, red smoking hot
It burns my senses, gearing toward
Flame and fire, silence beyond Earth
Such a posy from hell, so divine

Before I die, I must confide myself
Confidence before obscurity blind
Wherever I may go, whatever I do
No dark terror will slow me down

Only death has pain

Roughly beating against my chest
I hear water churning all around
Fire and smoke blind my eyes and
Darkness relaxes my heart

Seeping infernal trust in my soul
I begin to walk, slowly at first
Creeping along through this fluid
I hate this place, cold and dark

The smoke
It clears
I'm covered
In blood

There must be a full moon. The weird writings are really coming out. I liked the wasy you started out with some pleasant imagery, but shifted it into a reminder of the more unpleasant. Plus I liked that you went back to your old flower theme. You built the flower up and then sunk yourself deeper and brought things the redness symbolized. That was cool. And I liked the way you worded --A candle of fire, red smoking hot. It gave a little punch to the imagery. The "Roughly" and "Seeping" verses were especially graphic to me, but not in a bad way. And the end was like the slowing down of a heartbeat.
Very cool. Liked this alot.
