So i was wondering.....
Well my friend lent me his Randall RG100SC combo to jam with until my 530 preamp gets here
and i was wondering if i could by pass the power amp on the Randall and use my ENGL 920 poweramp with it
the poweramp on the randall is 2x8ohms and my Engl power amp has that impedance option as well
anyways someone just lock this thread if it cant be done

i once put my Behringer 15 watt combo into a Peavy sound system for a talent show at school. i put a patch cord in the headphone output and stuck the other end into the input on the system, it went awsomly.

i once bypassed the preamp seciton of my poweball and put it a peavey rockmaster pre.
that can be done by just putting the cable from the preamp to the fx return of the amp.
maybe that would work the other way round, put a cable from your fx send to your poweramp.. i don't know if the cab of the combo has an input jack, else you'd probably need a cab.

I say save trying the poweramp until you get your e530.

if it's a combo, and it has an effects loop, take the effects loop send and put it into your ENGL poweramp. the randall's speaker should still work too, so you wouldnt actually bypass it, but you WOULD be able to hear your engl poweramp/4x12. I dont expect it'll sound TOO great though.
I just put new tubes into my pevaey poweramp and my 530 came to life. It's a great preamp, man. There are some down times but if you can tweak you're fine.
Also invest $20 in an EQ pedal, it makes it 234782345324 times easier to get SPECIFIC tones, although with my new tubes i really dont need it anymore.
