Recording at home

I just was wondering if anyone could tell me some good things to do for Recording at home and making it sound Good. I've already got a mixer, Drum Mics, and Instrument Mics, and the Program Im using is Adobe Audition, I was wondering what other kind of stuff there was out there to make the recordings sound more professional?

-Thanks for any help

i think a digitech gsp 2101 preamp effect thingy is pretty good for recording, it has a xlr output wich u can plug directly into the cpu, u get good quality recordings.

or simply buy an amp with an xlr output onit.

I can recommend H&K Red Box Pro/Classic. It really gives good sound.
