yeah, get the 120. 300 watts tube = no poweramp distortion + an arm/leg cost in tube replacement.

300 tube watts is gonna be insane:|, i dont think ur ever gonna get a nice sound from it, unless u have a big isolated place where u can open the volume, and besides, 120 watts should be enough for gigs anyway.

The BV120 probably doesn't have the distortion you're looking for, there wasn't enough when I tried it out.

did u krank it? else its kinda obvious it didnt have the dist u like.
i owned a engl savage 60, and i didnt have enough gain, bcuz i didnt krank it up.
when i did krank it, with the volume on 8 and the gain on 4 and i had WAAAY more gain that the volume at 3 and the gain at 10.
i just could play that loud in my rom so 
in other words if u dont krank it, ur not getting anything .
if u did krank it, nvm my story

I've only tried the 300 watt version, no blue tolex.. and seriously.. I was very dissapointed.. it sounded sooo thin, the dsl 100 right beside it owned it.. |
