Which cab should I pick

I'm using a Les Paul w/ a Dimarzio X2N (bridge position) through a Peavey Triple XXX head, which has incredible gain on the Ultra channel. Now, I'm thinking to go with 2 cabs instead of only one. Right now i play with a Peavey Triple XXX slant 4X12 cabinet, which sounds ok (speakers never fart, even at incredibly loud volume)

Should I get the same cab in straight version to match the one I have now, or sell it and buy 2 Marshall 1960 lead series cabs instead? Will the Celestions G12T-75 handle the low-end?

Thanks for your help

I say two Marshall 1960a's. And the GT-75's, IMHO they'll sound better than what's in the XXX cab now. So yes, they'll handle the low end and a whole lot more too.

sweet christ why do you need two cabs? just run one in stereo :O

But if you really need to the 1960 cabs ARE the standard in cabinets...i just got one myself. Good stuff. I can't wait to run it in stereo myself...gotta get one more cable for that.

Thanks!

Ha, you're never going to believe what I used for the tone : a Line 6 Guitarport.

"The Eschatology of Zion" is in D, whereas everything else is in Drop A. Although we've just moved to B Standard tuning ...

And to Halfmast --- in my opinion, the more speakers, the more the spread, and therefore the better the sound.
