Just got another new guitar... need help with pickups
My buddy just gave me a ESP LTD EX-50. I want to put a Dimarzio X2N pickup in there... but I want to know what other pickup the rest of you (who own an X2N) combo this one with?
I play in a thrash/death band and I'm looking for that brutal yet distinctive sound... I guess in the sense of Max Cavalera.
I just use the stock pickups on all of the rest of my guitars; hence why I'm not too sure what to do here.

A Soulfly sound or a Sepultura sound, of which you have about three sounds to pick from (Roots-era, Arise-and-before-era and Chaos A.D.-era).
