Reverse Delay Pedal
I'm looking for a good reverse delay pedal. I tried out the new Line 6 pedal (the model name escapes me) and the Boss D-20 and found them both pretty disagreeable. The Line 6 model has great feedback (the reversed notes sounded great) but it wouldn't play the fucking note, and only the delay! The Boss D-20 was the converse and would play the note, but the delay was weak. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want one. (Note: If there are any pedals out there that only do reverse delay, I would prefer that since I already have a worthy delay pedal).

Its a really cool effect. Just imagine a simple delay going, but the delay is playing what you played backwards.
I've found something that is probably what I'll get if I don't find anything better. Its the Danelectro Back Talk Reverse Delay. Its got the sound I'm looking for (click and scroll for sample): http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...ase_pid/151893/
Theres also another Danelectro pedal called the wasabi forward reverse pedal. I like the fact that it has stereo inputs (which would be rraaaddiccaalll for recording) but the reverse sample they have on here sounds a bit weak (click and scroll for sample): http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...ase_pid/151907/
Any suggestions? I've never had any real expierence with Danelectro products.

Ooooh very nice. I cant be of much help but thanks for informing me these exist! Ive been considering backwards playing for some time now. Im still gonna try and replicate the sound manually but Ill keep this in mind. Thanks, and good luck on your quest.

No problem.
Manually? I think you one of us may be suffering from some confusion. It dosen't play it backwards, to be more precise, it plays it in reverse.

Yeah I know what it means/does, I listened, it was badass. Ill keep it quick as I dont wanna hijack the topic. Im tryin to experiment with quality of notes, how they are picked, how they are manipulated and listener relations within a composition (though this, the psychological element, would be purely about the backwards element, and not the reversed quality of notes and wavelengths. ) To create something that sounds like reversed playing. Possible or not, god knows, but its nice to have a challenge.
edit/ but yeah, gear forum, topic unjacked.

The problem with the Line 6 is the newer delay modeler plain sucks they did something to cut costs or some lame shit. I have the older delay modeler and it is great , I use the reverse delay and it is sublime , But I bought a new one to put on a second pedal board and it sucked , I thought wait a minute . I set it up the same but the results were horrendous , I figured maybe I got a cruddy one so I swapped it , New one came same shit , It sucked.
I knew they did something to it because the logo on the the older ones are different from the new ones.
Alot of these company figure if they could save 10 cents per unit by cutting costs by crapping up a transistor or something , hey that translates into big bucks on the bottom line.
So the new line 6 delay modeler which was awsome now blows chunks.
Sad but true.
