Which ENGL head does the 530 preamp come close to in terms of sound? Is it powerball like or savage like?

from what ive heard before on this forum its based on the engl ritchy blackmore head, but dont take my word for it.

I actually recently got my setup back at my house so I may be able to do some stuff.
Necro Butcher's would be better since my Peavey needs new tubes BAD!!! it makes the gain kinda fizzy and thin....i'm gonna try opening her up today and see if i can move some tubes around so that it's all good tubes on one side and i can just run it in mono.

mine's still usable but the gain is more fizzy than usual and there's a little bit bass that dissapeared from before...
If your gain sounds thin and weak then you probablly need new tubes.
What kinda cab are you running it out of anyway? I just got a Marshall 1960B and it sounds really big.
