Agalloch
News!
Portland, Oregon's AGALLOCH have entered the studio to begin pre-production work for their third full-length album, entitled "Ashes Against the Grain". The recording process will begin December 10 and the band hopes to have the album finished by mid-January. As usual the band will be working with Ronn Chick, who has engineered and produced both of their previous albums.
Commenting on the new material, guitarist/vocalist John Haughm said, "It is huge, bleak, and more rock-based than previous albums. I am confident this will be our darkest and most sonically intense record yet."

lol im suprised they got the motivation to record. if they were really that sad theyd problaby just roll around on the ground and not make music

Because with making music they can express their sadness and thus get over it.. I don't know.

Yeah, no doubt. I remember when The Mantle came out they were being hailed as the American Opeth... what a load. Still enjoy them but it took awhile because I was expecting too much and got those awful, awful vocals. |

No, they are not over-rated. You just get people who hail The Mantle as the greatest album ever. If you know me, you know that Pale Folkore is my personal pick for "one of the greatest albums ever released." Vocals are your own personal thing. I love Haughm's raspy vocals, and his singing. To each his or HER own twatish opinion, but thats mine.
Time to put Pale Folklore as my avatar again.
