much different than a regular slap technique.
in a regular technique you would bounce back up after striking the string with your thumb.
with this technique push your thumb through to e string and onto the a string, do not play the a string, pull your thumb back up through the e string to pop it.
next pop the desired string with your middle and or pointer finger for a tripplet or quadruplet technique.

Your referring to wootens OHP (open hammer pluck) technique, not badly explained, but yeah it forms a triplet, you go through a string downwards with your thumb, until it rests on the next, or if its the g it will stop on the body, then hammer on a note on the fretboard to get the second note, and to complete the triplet come back up with your thumb..
Ive got Victors 'live at bass day 98' dvd and he explains all his technique and patterns, and even shows/explains a quadruplet technique and a possible 5 note techique, but you will have to get the dvd
