Cab help.
Ok, some may know i own a XXX head, and now its time for the cab (right now im useing an old combo as the cab).
Heres the 411:
In this hell hole, the big music store is musicstop, the marks up there are WAAAAAAAAAY too much. Marshal cabs are $1300 new, peavey XXX cabs 1k new (plus 15% tax)... you get the idea. Now there are second hand places, but they NEVER EVER have used cabs, they keep them for themselfs
I looked on ebay, cabs are do able there, but once you get the exchange rate, shipping and customs on that, might as well get it new. Bassbehemoth told me musicians friend now ships to canada, can i get anyone else to say "yes this is true"?
So, what I am getting at is, what the hell should i do? Is there another amp cab thats "good" i can look into? REMEBER I LIVE IN CA-NA-DA, NOT THE UNITED STATES OF ASSHOLES, so dont say ENGL or vader or whatever, money is tight this time around...

Well on their website it says they ship to Canada so I wouldn't think that they'd lie about something like that, but they might. But would they still do the free shipping thing and all that?

This is true. But I'm pretty sure that it'd end up being around the same price as what I'd pay at the music shops here.

www.avatarspeakers.com... you pick the cab type, the speakers that go in it, and the proper impendance to best suit your amp. the cabs are of just as good of quality as the marshall type stuff. you're just buying it "direct" from the factory instead of through a store so the price is alot cheaper. dave is a cool guy, i've bought speakers from him before, he replies quick, he's flexible on what he can do for you, and i'm pretty sure he'll ship to cananda. send him an e-mail.

I know nothing about speakers, so what ones are good? I want to have something that sounds like a marshall.

Sounds like a marshall?I would go for greenbacks. But they stock heaps of Eminence and other Celestions,so it is more than likely there are others that appeal to you.

Definately has less mids, some people dont like them. Then again you can just use your amps eq and boost them.Check out v30's also.

they have a slightly more scooped character, more presence in the lows and highs... but they're not going to make your shit sound like the mids are at zero or anything.
