I got a pretty sweet deal on my 1st guitar
So, I never really heard of this brand before, but I did some researching and it seemed like it would suffice for a starter guitar, especially since I got a smoking deal on mine. I bought a cort exactly like this one cort viva 7 string but I only paid $160 from a music store. I brought my guitar playing buddy along with me and he couldn't believe the price. 7 string is a little awkward but I wanna play brutal metal anyways so it will come in handy in the future.
Anyone else ever heard of/played Cort? It's very similar to the Ibanez S series with a thin neck/jumbo frets and very thin body. Stoked!

So far I am. I run it through my PA system( two 15inch speakers, 6oo watt power amp, and 6 channel mixer) until I can afford a decent half stack, and it sounds suprisingly good. Better then some cheap practice amp. I love playing it. 23 years old is a little late too start but I've never been so interested in actually learning before, you know what I mean? I just need more easy shit to play. Darkthrone's "Transylvanian Hunger" is the only one I can play all the way through, but it's super easy.

Unknown brands are interesting, cause you can get knockoffs with very decent build quality. Check out some Takamine guitars, like the GX-100 and stuff. Neck-through instruments with really fast necks and hardtail bridges that sell for under $200.
I would've bought a Takamine GX-100(explorer knockoff) but it had only 22 frets and the shipping was quite a bit, making it not worth it, now I'm just waiting to get some cash for a fellow forumer that's going to sell me his Ironbird. :P

This guitar is so sick! I hate playing anything else and if I could find another one, I would buy it for sure. I'd like to have one with some different pick ups( mine has humbucker knockoffs), but seriously, this thing plays so sweet! Great action and the neck feels so good. I'm learning how to use this bad boy pretty well. I sit down to practice and before I know it 2 hours have passed, lol.
I saw 2 of them on ebay not too long ago, but had to cash to swoop up the red one listed
