Right now, im useing a Eppiphone SG goth(Discontinued) With some amp I got off a friend, its like a RMS pro drive 65GR.... 120Watt I couldn't find it anywhere on the net so I don't know much else about it.

For one, I have on my about $300-500. I was thinking about just buying a pedal, because my amp sounds real bassy, I don't know if its the amp, the pickups, or what. Example, When I play I can get about 3 taps off a solo or riff before the sound dies and I can't get it again without hitting the strings, it just can't hold any sound, and solo's, just forget about them(I can play fine on my friends guitars with there amps, so its not my playing)

I play in a Hardcore/Metalcore band, and we do lots of breakdowns/squeals/taps and I just can't get that with the setup I have.

So, for 300-500 what can I do to get more gain/distortion/sustain. New amp, pedal, pickups maby even change the action for the strings? Ill try and get a recording of what I sound like so you can hear what I mean.


And any spelling mistakes, o well, i'm a rocker not an english teacher
