small steps in the right direction, but still not a solid album. I hate to say it, but i think In Flames has lost the magic they had on the early albums.

The one movement bound to laterality gradually swings back around into that it defies. Thus is parabolic nature. In Flames are on this path, they must tread carefully against it.

This was the worst piece of Garbage I think I've ever heard, everytime they got something good started they'de ruin it with their newfound "Hardcore" talent. Though I do find it a tad better than RTR and STYE, IN FLAMES is still dead.....

You guys need to give up judging inflames by their early work, bands change give it up.
This album is fucking great. I don't give a rats ass "its gothenburg shit, etc" It's still there.
The melodies are MUCH better, the drummings way better everything just sinks into your skin.
Its gotten a lot heavier too.
Dont expect anything as heavy as the new hypocrisy, hypocrisy has done their change back towards their old roots, and I dare I say getting flamed, inflames has done the same.
Theyre not there, a bit far from there now but It has more feeling to the music. It has some "JESTER RACE" moments.
I.E The solo in Dead End.
IT does have hardcore influence in it, but then again what band hasnt used any hardcore in it?
This album is great. It fucking owns the last two albums.
If youd give this cd a chance, listen to it 4 5 times, you wont stop listening to it. I have yet to find a bad song.
No more whiney vocals either. It fucking owns, and thats end of discussion.

Well, that's not hard.
I think I'll get this anyway. I would dearly like In Flames to un-piss me off.

i rarely listen to even the good (older) In Flames. Its just that there are a lot more things id rather listen to. Its possible i could get into it, but not likely. Besides, i havnt even heard the new album yet, but my drummer says like some of you, "its better, but not amazing", and i always agree with him.

i like the new album, but then i love in flames more than any other band. except maybe saturnus, they're pretty high in my books...anyway, the new album is good, it's pretty catchy which i like, and is better than STYE.

but you are way into that style of playing.
i am actually rather fond of their newer stuff, has good melodies, and singalong type chorus stuff, its not as heavy or complex as their older music, but i still think its pretty awesome. im gonna have to give the new album a spin when i can acquire it.
