Footprints in the Snow
Poem, but it was suggested it could be a nice acoustic piece. Thanks for reading. The neighbor kids were out playing with their chocolate lab and after I took some pictures of them I wrote this.
" Footprints in the Snow "
See the children playing
Laughing as they go
See the ruffled ground
Footprints in the snow
Snowballs flying through the air
He jumps up to catch their throw
Pounces with tail wagging
Footprints in the snow
Outside my yard is smooth and clear
No trace of man or beast
Perfect glistening as a satin gown
Undisturbed reverence found
I can see her joy as she jumped and played
Outside with the kids she'd want to go
But they're just in my memories now
Footprints in the snow
