I decided to stick this in the Bass forum, since that's me on the bass, and thats all that really matters huh. We aren't real tight yet since this was recorded on the third practice meeting, but it turned out alright. They didnt include the guitar solo (no great loss eh ) or the vocal track for some reason.. I dig being high in the mix, until fret buzz shows up in the recording

the drummer is having trouble because its not his own drums, they are owned by the guitar player. the bass pedals are not balanced and junk.. he does use too many lousy snare fill though, i wonder what he was thinkin, he's usually pretty damn brilliant, maybe trying to keep is simple for the recording purposes. he hasnt had his own practice space in several months, i dunno if drumming is like riding a cycle

Not bad, some pretty beefy bits in there, how did you all record that - 16 track? or straight into the computer or other?

I think it was 16 track recorder. i know i played straight into the board through my pre amp because I had to play in a different room to hear myself through small stereo speakers . they have mics running the guitar and drums through PA so i guess they recoded their instruments via the mics. i still wish the drummer had showed off more, i watch the guy play execration text to warm up sometimes so i know hes skilled.. oh well. i cant wait to get to a finalised version with vox
