Alright, this has been bugging me for a while now. Why is all the older equipment better then the newer stuff and why can't the equipment designers directly copy the equipmnet from the older stuff. I always see a lot of reissues but there is always something added or taken away. Why, with all this great technology, can we not make something as good as they did in the past.

theres plenty of great stuff that is brand new, maybe ur just looking at the wrong gear??

but in a way ur right, a lot of old amps are better than their newer versions.

like reissue jcm 800's vs the origional... older two channel rectos vs new three channel rectos...

don't fix it if it aint broke.

but then again, alot of amp makers really are working on improvements, and successfully doing so. like for example, line 6's newer stuff like the vetta II is lightyears ahead of just about everything else they've done.

so it's not really a fair arguement. some old is better than new, and vice versa.

ofcuz its becuz of money, if they make cheap and therefore less quality stuff, they make more profit, they want to make a hundred guitars or amps for a few dollars, and sell 1 of those for lots of money, big money means bigger car, bigger breast implants, etc

and with the thing bout .. they always add sumtin or take sumtin away.. well i guess they always want to renew themself, y do they make cars that can go faster than before, while there is a speed limit and therefore has no use?? cuz people want sumtin new, seems like peeps dont care anymore if its good, aslong as its new, and better, or ultra skin hydration , or it makes ur white t shirt more white than with a different brand.. again money

also, don't forget that there were some pretty shitty amps in the past too.
There 'classic' amps people prefer over some of the newer ones have already been tried and tested with the other amps of their age.
