Marshall Setup...
Hey guys,
I'm looking to purchase a new Marshall head + cab. I'm not looking to spend over $1,500 (CND). I am looking for a Marshall head+cab that sounds like Alexisonfire, Sensesfail, Moneen, Thursday, etc. My current Fender amp has very weak distortion. I'm looking for a distortion similar to the above bands.
Is anyone able to recommend the best Marshall setup they think I am able to get with the above details?

- By the way, on Alexisonfire's website, the lead guitarist says he uses a Marshall 30th anniversary head. According to most guitar sites, this head alone sells for over $1500. I was wondering if anyone knows of a Marshall head that is close to the same sound for a fraction of the price?

And why marshall ? There are alot of brands out there

*ahem* on metaltabs....
try a valvestate AVT 50H. It's what I use, but I try and bum a friend's pedal whenever possible

I'm sure that with some form of POD or GT-8 you could get close to the same tone for less. (by the way alot of emo/screamo isn't taken very well around here so I just thought that I'd warn you in advance that you might get flamed).
