violin in metal songs
hi. i play the violin and i am a huge metal fan. As we all know specific metal bands encorporate classical sounds in their music. I have been searching for weeks trying to find violin notes to these songs but the best i have come up with is finding the tabs to guitar solo's and just converting it onto the violin.
i enjoy playing the guitar solos on my violin but i am specifically looking for the violin solos in the songs. Any song would be appreciated.
notes to specific solo's are helpful as well, if that is all i can get, but if it is tab i guess i could just look those up myself.
also if you have any song suggestions, i would like those 2, but if they came with how i could get my hands on the notes... that would be 100x better =]
thanks very much for your help

This concerns a band. Bands = Bands. Post things like this in Bands because its asking a questinon about a band (which is what the band thread is for). If you refuse to adhere to the rules, subsequently precipitating to anarchy among the green screen, I'll shoot you. SHOOT YOU!
I know Lemi (is it Lemi?) from Gorguts plays the violin. I don't know if they ever use it in the band though.
Dimmu does, although I'm not a fan so I can't recall songs off the top of my head.
I'm not much help.

wtf. i thought i answered this already? well Mago de Oz puts violin in their songs like me putting the word "man" in sentences. They do pretty good violin leads and shit, only thing is theyre in Spanish and you oughta know spanish to know what the hell theyre talking about. but yeah, Mago de Oz. oh yeah and In Flames' Lunar Strain, that whole cd has violins in there somewhere in the songs. Check em out man.

Actually, listening to it - I doubt it is a violin...it sounds very fiddley.

My dying bride I believe to be the best bet as many have said.
another point... Use Guitar Pro and get tabs from www.mysongbook.com many of the GP tabs will have all parts of a song tabbed out, including violin parts

Mago De Oz = Decent Power Metal thats all about faggotry (2 members of the band are homo lovers and all their lyrics relate to them and homo shit lol!)
And try some Haggard for Violin driven metal their your best bet especially their album Eppur Si Mouve. Also some Hollenthon maybe or some Manegarm.
