Most Depressive CD
I'd say Today is the Day's, Sadness Will Prevail
Also, although blisteringly fast and brutal Ulver's Nattens Madrigal is always impresed on me as depressive I think.

I don't know about albums, but the most depressive song IMO is "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains, great song too.

Ohhhhh, The Berzerkers Dissumlate is a pretty depressive CD, the riffs are really negative sounding, goddamn I wish people would see past the drums and masks and hear that the lyrics really really enforce the music well, the music is so down sounding.

Elend - Sunwar The Dead (pretty scary cd too )
Blut Aus Nord - The Work which Transforms God (very depressing sound)
The Axis of Perdition - Deleted Scenes From The Transition Hospital (especially all the more ambient tracks)
A Silver Mt. Zion...
i'd put more but i can't think of al of 'em + Ten Ton Alien just said what i'd probably put. (not that i don't like doom or anything)

There are a few songs at the end of emperor's anthems to the welken at dusk that I find very depressing, and a few songs on transylvanian hunder by darkthrone, but I can't think of any entire albums that are depressing, I'll have to listen to more Ulver because I like depressing music in alot of situations for some reason, which doesn't make any sense because I have nothing to be depressed about.

Several people mentioned AIC- Nutshell. I'm going to have to go with that and another of my faves, Megalomania by Black Sabbath. I never listen to those songs when I'm feeling energetic.

Hmmm...I would say almost everything from Katatonia...
Antimatter, Forgotten Tomb, October Tide, Rapture,...
Sunn 0))) can be depressing as well...
There are loads of doom metal bands out there which create really depressive sounds.

I know this is supposed to be albums, but most people have just named songs so fuck it. I'd say Jail by Down. Nutshell is another good choice. I remember the first time I put in AIC Unplugged after Layne Staley died and heard that I just started crying. On a personal level, anytime I hear Rhoads or Stevie Ray or Hendrix or Pantera (both Dime and Phil will be gone soon I'm sure, his mind is pretty much gone already) it's pretty goddamn depressing.

Burzum - Filosofem
Wyrd - Heathen (more people need to check out this band)
Wyrd - Huldrafolk
All Paysage D'Hiver stuff and Vinterriket
Boyd Rice & Friends - Music, Martinis And Misanthropy
Dissection - The somberlain
Backworld - Anthems From The Pleasure Park
there are so many CD's out there with a depressing sound really, and I guess different things sound depressing to different people but these are some I'd pick
