Tremolo system...

Are there any tremolo systems that can do dive-bombs, pitch raises, and all the neat things the floyd rose systems can do, but that do not require an routing? I've seen a washburn wonderbar, but I'm wondering if there are any others out there. I don't want to buy a new guitar, I just want to be able to have a floyd rose style bridge.

I don't think so. But i'm not sure. I guess you'll always have to route for it to make it work properly

Edit. And when installing a floating brdige and it has to be routed you're better off with buying a new guitar

A Kahler tremolo system. It seems like every second person raves about them around here. If you go into the guitar zone there is a thread all about bridges, tremolos and all that jazz, you may want to search there for some info. You may want to look at them and see what you think. Just for curiousity's sake, what kind of guitar is this going on?

So Kahlers don't require routing? So how would you install it on a guitar... simply drill it into place? What about the back compartment for the springs?

u dont need a back cavity with spring for a kahler, thats so nice about them, they save lots of sustain that way.

im not sure if u nede routoing though, maybe a little bit, but definatly not much

It's a 2320. I'm wondering if it's possible to switch it to a 3300 series one, anyone know?

I'm putting it on my rr5 that I got second hand as a backup a couple years back. Whoa, just checked their site, thats a lot of money, maybe I'll sell the drumset from the practice room.

I think those Jacksons in the $1000 range are pretty much rip-offs. They're nice, but for the price you pay, they don't provide all the stuff. Like I think you get more for your money, with high-end LTD's.

I'm looking at bridges now online, and I'm wondering, can I do the all the stuff Alexi Laiho does with this (pitch raises, dive-bombs, etc.)?

or this

And

Edit: And would they work with my flying v?

What guitar do you have again, an RR-1? If so, I wouldn't even think about cutting up holes in it. I'd rather just get like a whammy pedal.

Its for my old beat up RR5 that I got secondhand as an upgrade from my first guitar. The RR1 already has a tremolo system, but I'd like all my guitars to have a trem system.

Plus the whammy pedal is kinda hard to manipulate from what I've heard, and it doesn't always track the pitch correctly. And also, you can only do 1 whammy effect at a time (ie. you can only do a divebomb, or you have to switch the settings for a raise and dive)

Aw whammy's suck ass, a guy i know bought one, i was trying it out, just sounded like a computer pretty much, and on top of that like it was always like a quarter tone out or somethin, the octave setting was quite possibly the most grating noise i've ever heard.
But then Tom Morello etc. seem to get real decent sounds and tones out of them, so i dunno.
