hey, i was looking to pick up some awesome metal/virtuoso dvds and was just wondering, what were some good ones.

Slayer- War at the Warfield and Still Reigning and G3 (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson) are the only ones I've really seen and I love them all, I'd reccomend a ramones one but its metaltabs

the ramones began in 1974, the hieght of disco. thier stuff is severely dated, and there wasnt that much heavy bands back then. for thier time what they were doing was radically different from alot of the proggresive blues/rock trend that dominated that time. im not the biggest fan but they werent going for being some sort of guitar gods status, it was the grain they went against. i put them up with sabbath as being a band ahead of thier time, and vastly influencal for decades after

ive seen that Slipknot DVD, and i must say it was well done. I didnt like the music, but they played it well. The production and direction were good. They even put on a decent show.

I noted that i didnt like the music. More accurately, i hated it. But the actual show was well done. I rip on the Ramones because the music is terrible. I'm not saying it wasn't "different" or influential, but the fact remains that i hate the music. |

(sry yousendit.com takes forever, ps alot of these files are avi so you'll need divx, get it at www.divx.com, then go to your media player go to tools, options, then filetypes, and select avi. its totally worth it too as its small and the avi files have amazing quality. |
