Engl Ritchie Blackmore + Celestion / Eminence - Question - Ohms?

Okay, my Ritchie Blackmore is comin soon. Other than that, it can run 4/8/16 for the Ohm Impedence, or whatever the fuck it's called.

Can anyone elaborate on this? As in, what I can do and can't do. For example, can I run a 4 ohm mono cabinet through a 16 stereo...

Yeah. I'm confused.

Can Eminence speakers handle the sound of a Ritchie Blackmore 100 watt?

Or should I go with celestions.

I've narrowed it down to a Celestion V30 or G12 (75) I think, or an Eminence The Wizard or Red Ryder.

I'm looking for a good combo to play classic rock from Uriah Heep, to Jethro Tull, with room for Fleetwood Mac and some overdriven Southern Rock styled Stuff to cover my girlfriend when she sings at places. Anyway, let me know if anyone has any input.

I'm getting my cabinet built at http://www.tone-tools.com

for ohms, you need to match impedence. always. Since the head is switchable between 4/8/16, find out what your cabinet takes. If the cabinet is a 16 Ohm load, switch your head to 16. its as simple as matching numbers

for the speakers, yes. Eminence will be fine. they are good speakers.

My Blackmore sounded great with the Vintage 30;s.. but the Engl cabinet is also very dark.. so it evened out the harshness of the Vin 30's.

eminence should "handle the sound of of a Ritchie Blackmore 100 watt"... say for example you have four swamp thangs(150w speakers), that cab can handle a 600w head. basically. so as long as you're not running a couple weak ass greenbacks(25w) you shouldnt blow anything.

+1 it's really that simple.
