Cool parody about forum death
I read this at guitar.com and thought it was pretty amusing so I'm sharing it with you.
It was written by xarkzila in a thread that folks were talking about part of the forum dying. He said, "This post seems to cry for a slightly creative touch" and proceeded with this parody of American Pie by Don McLean. I like the song "Vincent" much better, but this is great. Hope you enjoy it, too.

That misc board used to make me smile.
And I knew if I posted pics,
The mods would all turn into dicks,
And maybe they'd just band me for a while.
But this September made me shiver,
With every post that I'd deliver,
Bad news on the forum...
The admin was a moron.
I can't remember if I cried
When I clicked the link and found it fried,
The whole damn site was hacked inside,
The day the misc board died.

No, I don't post there. I was just reading there because I know a guy online that runs it and I'd never read at their forums before. I'm not registered there or anything. I just liked that when I read it. Some of the people there said they'd been there since 1999 from what I remember.

yeah a lot of the people at the misc forums have been there for 7 years or so haha. im damn near one of them. misc makes me nostalgic like seasame street does for normal people
