New Pickup humming

Hey, i just put in a Seymour Duncan JB in my Ibanez 2 pick up 1 tone 5 way split. And it buzzes, almost like if you have yout guitar on and close to a computer monitor. Does anyone know what this problem could be? is it possible to have it wired wrong, or if i have wires in the wrong place would it just not work period?
Thanks, Drake

im not 100% sure, but maybe its cause the 5-way? doesnt the PU need to be 'made' for a 5-way?

why do you have a 5 way switch if you only have two pickups?

You might not have grounded it properly.

Well now ive got a problem, whenever i touch the bridge it makes a light pop. I know this is a grounding problem, and everything is grounded properly. Could a bad soldering be causing this?

unscrew the cable jack, check the solder in there... and then id say check if you have sometihng grounded to the bridge.

Okay, well i now realize the last place in the world i should be is in my guitars electronics... I was working on my explorer putting my stock pickup back in, and now all it does is buzz insanely loud. i know this is a grounding problem, but everything is grounded correctly. but in the process of doing this i melted some of the sheathing around the wires... could this be causing it?
