Framus Streetwalker review
Before I left for tour Framus had sent me one of thier newer guitars, something pretty metal for Framus, Its called a "streetwalker". Not wanting to take some new random guitar on tour(besides my Caparisons might get mad!) I figured id check it out when I got back. First off it looks a lot cooler in person than in the pics I had seen and right off the bat I could tell the craftsman ship was awesome, very solid and tight which I would hope as Framus guitars are all for the most part hand-made(the same company and factory as warwick). This is really easy to see in the neck, it plays awesome, the neck wood is ovangkol and its left natural which feels great. The fret work is just as good as well. The body has good weight to it being its basswood. The pickup set-up is pretty unique, it looks like there is a humbucker in the neck but its actuallly two single coils that you can choose between with the push-pull voulume, a Hotrails or a SSL-5 (both Seymour Duncan). It has a Pearly Gates in the bridge position that cuts through and distorts nice. All the hardware is Framus which is made by Schaller so it all seems tough as nails. All and all id have to say this guitars rips! Im still not sure how I feel about the look of it (the body style) but it plays and sounds awesome and its made me decide to have them build me something Custom Shop because if a factory guitar is this well built then im sold.

They work one or the other, the Hotrail is a basically a stacked humbucker and the other is more vintage sounding.

That looks a pretty neat guitar, may see if i can try one out sometime, the single/humbucker idea is quite clever

Looks like a retarted Jackson Kelly or BCR Mockingbird to me... but it's interesting. Those frets look wide as hell... What's the price tag on it? It seems to me that it might be ridiculously high...
