neck problems
okay, i have a cracked neck... its an RG370DX, and the crack is parallel to the head/neck joint, on the head side... the fractures start at the bolts for the locking nut.... It goes pretty much all the way to the binding. Before i took my strings off, it was pretty bad, you could stick a pick in there... now that they're off, its just hairline.
okay, now i need advice one what to do, im considering...
salvage everthing i can, use the unusable as firewood...
Pawn shop
Get somebody to glue it together
order a neck from ibanez
order a neck from warmoth
any suggestions?

Necks go pretty cheap sometimes on ebay. I would consider that first prob before Ibanez. Ibanez will cost ya out the ass. Also gluing the neck wouldn't be such a bad idea. Epoxy that bitch and it wouldn't go anywhere.

Salvage the body, pickups, hardware etc. Buy a new neck or guitar. But thats just my opinion because once its cracked like that its never the same.

i suggest u just save up for a new guitar, because the neck would be more expensive than than the guitar, depending on how much u bought the guitar for and what types of wood the neck u want to get has

how much money do you have?
if you have quite a bit, i would get a new guitar, if you dont have that much you should be able to get a wizard II neck on ebay fairly cheap, or you could get a warmoth wizard, which i heard is nothing like the ibanez one.

ill get pics up next week when im back at home, and right now, my money is not lookin good. I have about 100$, which i need to save up to go to pay for an 8 hour bus ride to my friends house.

He said the guitar is fucked. and if its a shitter then why not?
i dont really condone smashing guitars either. i think its a waste. every guitar i have i would cry if it got destroyed.
but if i had a shit guitar that was fucked i would probably do the above. |
