Datura
I finally saw one of these plants and it was impressive. It probably would have been much prettier climbing on a trellis or post, but it was allowed to grow on the ground and just lie there around a lamp post. Still quite beautiful. My deceased friend, Judy, had always wanted one and she was a heck of a gardener. I'm glad I finally saw one.
"Datura"
She drops her face to the ground
Pale and scented with the evening stars
Mesmorising eyes drawn
To her beauty or her effect
Like a siren's call so hypnotic
Visually caressing the watcher's mind
Rarity amid the others
Puddled like a fairy's wedding gown
A sea of green and white
Datura, growing in the flowerbed

If you smoke enough of this plant you will die. I heard the effects were incredible, but I'm not about to try it anytime soon.

When I posted this at the blue screen one comment I had was from someone whose friend was hospitalized because he was barely alive from 3 seeds. This person said he'd never mess with them. Smart move. Some things are best left alone.
I tried not to dwell on the efffects of the plant so much as the beauty of it, but I did elude to it just because of the mystique.

I changed what I said before because I was being sarcastic and read wrong what you'd said. Yeah, they are quite pretty, but nothing to mess with.

For the past year I've been a bum. But in the past I've worked in a small family bakery for a year and a half, worked front desk, public access, vending, kitchen maintenance engineer(dishwasher/prep cook/banquet set-up), housekeeper in a Holiday Inn for 5 1/2 years. I also worked for the receiving home at Children's Services as a cook/ youth leadership/domestic for 8 1/2 years until they turned it into a treatment center for abused and neglected children and then closed us down due to lack of funds. And I've been a mom for about 27 years if you count the prenatal stuff, too.

Why o why do our culture denote parentship as the real and important full time work it is?
Anyway, if you want, I believe you might be able to do something with works like the one above, Pizza of Terror and so on.

Thanks. Some of the pieces like Datura are on one of my procrastination lists to do something with. I'm a pro at procrastination and over analyzing things out the window sometimes. Like Homer says "Trying is the first step to failure." But the dreams aren't dead yet so I do appreciate the encouragement.
Parenthood is the toughest job you'll ever love.
