Engl 620
I've just bought one off ebay for cheap as hell, never heard them but its engl so I figure it must be worth what I paid.
anybody tried out one of these things?
also I am fucking clueless when it comes to poweramps so any recomendations?

Yeah got it for like £50 so nothing to lose, if its shit i'l sell it and make a profit 
plus since there not made anymore i'd have a hard time trying it out

lucky! I got one for a good price too, it was my first rack amp and my first engl amp too, I never had another brand since
it's a very simple poweramp but it sounds great, the distortion is the tits! the cleans are allright but can be a bit harsh if you have hi-output pickups like EMG's.
it's just a basic 2 channel preamp and they're easy to mod, for more gain and better distortion I went with sovtek ax7lp's preamp tubes (there's 3 in it, so really not that expensive..) |
