Buying a new bass
Well, I have a four string Hondo (piece of shit), and a Squire MB-5. Now I'm ready to make the jump to a six string. The bass I plan on getting is a six string Peavey Grind Bass. Can anyone tell me about this bass? I know a bit about it already, as I don't just buy without researching, but I want to know what a few fellow bass players think of this bass. The price I will be paying is marked at $600, but I will probably only be paying $450

Peavey? For $600 You're better off with Traben or Fender or Rockbass

fuck peavy everything about it sucks only the cirrus is worth anything and the 6 is over 1400 dollars go with an ibanez or something or for 650 you could get a spector

If you get the Peavey Grind Bass you're going to need to put some work into it I've played a few different ones on different occasions(a 4 and a 6) and the fretwire hangs over the edge of the fretboard and the back of the neck isn't very smooth(where as this didn't bother me I actually quite liked it to be honest it would probably bother others). What I did like about the bass is the slap tone it had, the neck through body, and the natural finish.

o i get it. the 600 thing is the list price. Eclipse, the list is bullshit they just put that there to make you think your getting a good deal im sure you dont live in saint cloud fla. but. our guitar store has the same bass for 450 and i doubt 2 stores would have the exact same "our price" thing by the way dont jump right to a 6 string its challenging and youll probably get lost

This isn't jumping right to it. I've long since mastered my five string.
Yeah, the guy that owns the store knows me, he said he'd take $450, but go to $350 for me. |
